In the field of nuclear medicine, metabolic processes are made visible. To this end we administer radioactively marked substances, which are recorded by special devices (gamma cameras) and converted into diagnostic pictures (scintigrams). The patients feel nothing during the examination and the radiation contamination is comparable with an x-ray examination, partly even less.
Our focal point lies in thyroid gland diagnosis and therapy.
We also offer all other diagnostic routine procedures, which are of great importance with heart disease, skeletal and joint disease, brain diseases and in the field of cancer diagnosis.
Examinations in the Nuclear Medicine Department are performed without seriously affecting the patient and are also suitable for children.
As well as a high specialist standard, a patient-orientated approach is very important to us. This also includes a detailed consent talk, during which we will answer all your questions.
Our Clinic for Nuclear Medicine has modern equipment and was completely renovated in 2000.
The clinic provides a specially appointed therapy ward, where bright corridors and rooms with many plants contribute to a pleasant stay. A kitchen and a lounge are available. All rooms are either single or double, each with TV and en-suite bathroom.
